About SMae

Hey there! I’m Sarah Mae and Creative is my middle name!
(Well, actually it is Mae, but Creative would be quite fitting)

I am a junior designer living by the beach in Vancouver, British Columbia and I have been designing and creating websites since 2001 with the 2gb computer my Uncle gave me. My first site included a home for “smilies” before they became emojis. People across the web would visit my site to copy and paste little smilies into their online chat forum conversations. 🙂

By doing what you love you inspire and awaken the hearts of others.

I am also a teacher. I believe that the 21st century requires creative thinkers and that all too often our education systems stifle student creativity. Therefore I am extremely passionate about instilling creativity, curiosity, and computational thinking in my students. In order to do this I need to be these things myself. Which is one of the reasons why I freelance as a designer. The other reason is just because I genuinely love helping people!
